Our wedding is a little over a month gone past – and I have many stories and pictures to share. It was perfect and just beautiful. All of the services we contracted from the caterer to the florist – - photographer and decorator were just perfect.

Regarding the catering – the food was fabulous! The staff was just super and everything perfect. The only advice I have for anyone involved in catering weddings? Assign just ONE member of your staff to cater the bride and groom and make sure they get to enjoy all that fabulous food they’ve paid good money for!

We had an outdoor garden wedding. After the ceremony and champagne toast – the catering staff walked around the garden with plates of hors d’evours to serve to our guests. We spent hours prior to the wedding choosing which ones we wanted – and we settled on 8 different types. It was a lot of food – but we really wanted to be able to offer our guests a good selection!

After the ceremony – the bride and groom (us!) were whisked away in several different directions. Mainly, the photographer wanted us for our portrait sessions – - the florist wanted her final payment, the owner of the catering company wanted to make sure the dinner seat assignments were just so. Plus, the bride and groom want to steal away a few isolated moments to celebrate together just a bit, right?

Caterers – assign someone to serve the bride and groom! Assign that person to put together a nice plate of hors d’evours – - a simple selection.. then have that person seek out the bride and groom, wherever they are – - whatever they are doing and feed them!

The only negative we had after our wedding was that we didn’t have a chance to taste, enjoy and eat the wonderful food we spent so much time (and money!) choosing for our special day!

That’s my wedding catering advice for the day – - assign one person on staff to make sure the bride and groom get to enjoy a bit of their wedding day investment!
